Meet Dr. Dave™
Dr. Gentile is a board certified, integrative medicine physician. His practice synthesizes a comprehensive, evidence based approach combining Osteopathic Musculoskeletal Medicine, Medical Acupuncture, Pain Management, Age Management, Weight Management, Nutrition and Brain Wellness. He helps and empowers patients in finding their true vital health. Dr. Gentile gets referrals from other physicians and professionals to co-manage difficult cases and has been able to help patients who have failed other medical and alternative treatments.
Dr. Gentile was the Associate Director of Medical Education at Northshore-LIJ at Plainview Hospital, where his wisdom and experience inspired up and coming Physicians who trained with him using a hands-on approach. He has taught courses at Stony Brook University Hospital, Touro College, and was involved in published research at Stony Brook University Hospital Emergency Department. Dr. Gentile enjoys continued learning and application of new techniques in helping his patients.
Dr. Gentile is a Police Surgeon, and actively treats 9/11 First Responders.
Dr. Gentile shares his knowledge and charismatic style as a public speaker, radio and TV guest. He has been a keynote speaker at several national conferences. He leads workshops on culinary based nutritional and has done a series of live cooking shows titled “The Good Life with Dr. Dave™”. He teaches Power Qi, his fusion of Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and energy work. He is a corporate consultant for ergonomic evaluations, pain/ disease prevention, and lifestyle management. He is the medical correspondent on “Live It Up”, a lifestyle television show that airs on CBS Long Island.
He is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine through the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and certified as Physician Acupuncturist.
He also is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, American College of Nutrition, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, the Cranial Academy, American Academy of Orthopaedic Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
